Fujitsu's new AMILO Pi 3540 notebook is certainly no slacker when it comes to processing power as it is based on the new Intel Centrino 2 platform, offering up to 4GB of RAM. Tests run which touches on high definition content processing have shown the Fujitsu AMILO Pi 3540 to be 90% faster when it comes to encoding HD videos and a general performance increase of up to 50% when compared to its predecessors, but I'll take a few large grains of salt with such claims.

Shortly after the Kohjinsha SC3 was removed from the comfy confines of its packaging and exposed for all to see, said UMPC has managed to get reviewed. Initially, impressions were quite positive, as the reviewer noted that build quality was "superb," the size was adorably small and the display satisfied all expectations. As for sheer performance, the Menlow-based rig excelled as it churned through applications with no huge lag issues; however.

When you talk fuel cell technology, you generally think cars. Well, fuel cell technology could end up under the hood of your laptop in just a few short years. Maybe sooner. A company based in California named PolyFuel has been working on an interesting prototype that converts methanol fuel to electricity to power a laptop. The Lenovo T40 ThinkPad is being used as PolyFuel’s prototype.

Around a year and a half ago we looked at the Asus Lambourghini VX2 and we were pretty enamoured with it. For a start, it gave us some actual justification for the usual TR habit of populating our reviews with more car analogies than a Bughatti Veyron has horsepower. Moreover, while the styling didn't really pay homage to the Lambo's namesake, it was still distinctive enough to persuade us it would appeal to supercar aficionados.

Apple is now selling its super slim MacBook Air for $2598, down from the $3098. The cut was the result of a cut in price for two of the MacBook's components. The Intel Core 2 Duo processor upgrade for the Air's 1.8GHz was reduced to $200 from $100. The second reasons being that cost of the Flash memory based 64GB SDD drive upgrade to $599 from $999, That's nearly a 50% slash of the original price.
