Samsung Electronics today launched a new, sexy LCD display series for graphics professionals. The T260 is a top-end model with 26" widescreen, 20,000:1 contrast ratio, 1920 x 1200 resolution, 5ms response time, HDMI and optional digital TV tuner. The LCD with its fancy frame will definitely appeal to any user, but I doubt most of you can afford it as such monitors ask for a premium. The T240 24-incher is similarly specced.
Samsung also officially announced the 12.1" P200 ultra portable machine. Engadget reports, it runs Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 Penryn chip, and ATI's Radeon Xpress 1250 integrated graphics. It also comes with 2GB RAM, 200GB HDD, 1.3 megapixel webcam, dual layer DVD burner, b/g wireless, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 6-in-1 memory card reader, and XP Pro / Vista. The P200 is now available in Europe with a starting price of $1,517.

| Please be aware that these monitors (at least those in the UK shops as of posting) ghost very badly when connected to xbox360 at 1080p via HDMI. I have had problems with other sources as well but have only performed the full testing with the xbox360.
For an example goto the xbox desktop (new desktop)and look below the my xbox menu line. you will see white ghosting. During a game this ghosting reduces the resolution and makes the picture very unrealistic and shakey.
My view is that these monitors are not 'fit for purpose' currently. This may change with a firmware upgrade but as of writing Samsung have not confirmed this.
I have found this to be a fault on the t260, t260hd, t240 and t240hd.
Great picture if connected via dvi but poor if connected via hdmi at 1080p - would be nice to see samsung correct this soon as the monitor side through dvi is well worth the money.
